This pictures name started out being named "Pray for Me" I am leaving all of this in the write up so everyone will know his story all the way though the end. This is Velcro, at 7:00 this morning (4-14-12) we found him in really bad shape on the kitchen floor he was having seizures, we are not sure what happened to him, there were no cuts and he was not bleeding. He rushed him to the vets and he is now there frighting for his life. The vet thinks he might of gotten in to some kind of poison. The vet said that what ever was wrong with him is neurological, and when we were there he opened his eyes and was trying to stand up. The vets said he has a chance because he is so strong. So I am asking everyone who sees this picture to say a prayer for him.
Update: 4-14-12 1:54pm I talked to the vet and it don't sound good, she is waiting for the blood work to come back but she says that from the way he is acting that she thinks her has head trauma because he has started having seizures.
Last up Date: At 5:00 pm tonight 4-14-12 Velcro pass away. The blood work showed he had some kind of disease that has something to do with his color. The vet said that the other gray one that she calls "Lilac" color might have the samething. There was no hope to save him so we had him put down and I held him the whole time so he would not be alone. He was laid to rest with his older brother and hes grandfather. Thank you all so much for you care and prayers.
Thank you Jocelyne, we still have to one as we don't want to give her away and have her die on someone. But poor little Velcro there was nothing they could do for him.
The vet said there is a chance that it might die of the same thing, but so far so good. But then again Velcro was fine the night before we found him in the morning. So keep your fingers crossed for Blue.
I just saw this, as I've been away for over two weeks due to the passing away of my grandma... anyway... and I am so very sorry, very very sorry. How awful.
I don't know what I would do to go through something like this with any of my cats, and you know I adore them all so intensely!
sigh... But I have been through similar things with dogs in my life, the most recent was Sept. of 2009, but she was sick for a loooong time with kidney disease before we had to put her to sleep.
None of it is good at all, they are just such members of our family.
Thank you Tea and I kind of figured you were not around. Sorry about your grandma. The worst part of loosing him is not really knowing why or how he got sick, the vet said it has something to do with his color being wrong. She said cats should not be silver in color. He was such a pale color of gray.
that is so depressing D: i had an olce named named misty who died at 5:30AM of a sudden heart attack. i was just entering 7th grade and remember hearing her last meow which was more like a howl of sarrow before dieing. then i berried her. i also helped my besty for life, emma put down her 9 year old cat lucy, its tough stuff :c
