I took this picture of the Rhea's today 4-20-12 at the Utica NY Zoo. The one looking at me is a male that is sitting on a nest of about 15 eggs and the one in the front is one of the females. Okay I know this kind of don't really look like a picture but this is how it came out of my camera. I really like how this came out for some reason and would like to know what you think about it.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI love this! Such a gorgeous shot, Cindy!! I find the use of focus here (particularly with regards to the ostrich in the foreground) absolutely delish! It really brings out the sweetness of this very protective bird; as she sits upon her unhatched eggs. One can really discern what she is thinking, as she awaits the birth of her young: She can barely wait for the blessed event -- yet also relishes the secrets that those same eggs hold...
A beautiful rendering of a mother-to-be's greatest expectation; as she dutifully and lovingly protects the future.
