Back in the late fall early winter this stray showed up. He was so mean, he would fight with the other strays that would be eating on the porch. We will feed any of the strays as long as they follow the NO Fighting Rule. Most of the strays will get along in our yard as they know if they fight we make them leave. This one it took a long time to get in his head he could eat if he didn't fight with the other strays or the house cats. The day I took this picture 4-23-11 I was sitting on the steps and taking picture of some of the cats when this one walked right past me, something he has never done before. He always stays away till I go in, but not this time. He sat about 3 feet from me. So I took some picture of him. A couple of them she showed his teeth but never made a move. A few days ago he did something new as I was putting food down he walked between my legs and went to the first spot I was lay food. Oscar was already there so with out thinking I put my hand between them and pushed this one to the next spot I put food. It was not till I moved my hand and he looked up at me that I realized it was not Fathead. I would of never put my hand in this ones face, because everytime I have ever tried to pet him he would hiss at me. This time he just looked at me. Then yesterday I was putting food out for them and Oscar came over and started headbutting me to get me to pet him something Oscar does all the time. Next thing I know this one was headbutting me and purring at my feet. I reached down and pet him and he seemed like he liked it. I was shocked. I guess I finally tamed the beast.
Update: 6-19-11 About a month ago this cat came up missing and we have not seen him since. I am worried someone is doing something to the stray cats as he is about the 5 one to come up missing since the first or the year.
Edit: I would like to thank everyone who faves this picture now. I really means a lot to me.
Yes it is, a couple of the missing ones have been showing up. I think someone has been taking them away a dumping them again, and there making there way back here. Maybe he will show up again.
Anyhow this is a great shot...he's a very good-looking cat. ...I know he's missing but I would call him Picasso, (after Picasso's grey period).
He reminds me of a cat I used to know.
